National Center on Secondary Education and Transition
NCSET is the new center on transition issues for youth with disabilities, funded by the US Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs.

National Transition Alliance for Youth with Disabilities (NTA)
The NTA is a collaborative effort of six organizations to ensure the inclusion of youth with disabilities in school-to-work systems. The NTA website contains publications, searchable databases, and other resources.

Transition Research Institute at Illinois
TRI, at the University of Illinois, is a research and evaluation institute that identifies effective practices and programs.

Academy for Educational Development
AED, founded in 1961, is an independent, nonprofit service organization committed to addressing human development needs in the United States and throughout the world.

The Council of Chief State School Officers
CCSSO is a nationwide, nonprofit organization of the state public officials who head the departments of elementary and secondary education.

National Alliance of Business
The National Alliance of Business is a national business organization singularly focused on increasing student achievement and improving the competitiveness of the workforce. Our 5,000 members include Fortune 500 companies, their CEOs and senior executives, educators, and business-led coalitions.

National Association of State Directors of Special Education
NASDSE promotes and supports education programs for students with disabilities in the United States and outlying areas. NASDSE is a not-for-profit corporation established in 1938. It operates for the purpose of providing services to State agencies to facilitate their efforts to maximize educational outcomes for individuals with disabilities.

National Center for Educational Outcomes
NCEO provides national leadership in the participation of students with disabilities and limited English proficient students in national and state assessments, standards-setting efforts, and graduation requirements.

Center for Law and Education
CLE strives to make the right of all students to quality education a reality throughout the nation and to help enable communities to address their own public education problems effectively, with an emphasis on assistance to low-income students and communities.

National Conference of State Legislatures
At this site, you will find comprehensive information, research on critical state issues, informative publications, provocative meetings and seminars, an unparalleled legislative information database, a voice in Washington, D.C., and an expert staff to assist legislators and staff in solving difficult problems.

PACER Center (Parent Advocacy Coalition for Educational Rights)
PACER's mission is to improve and expand opportunities that enhance the quality of life for children and young adults with all disabilities - physical, mental, emotional, learning - and their families. PACER now offers 20 major programs, including Parent Training programs, programs for students and schools, and technical assistance to parent centers both regionally and nationally. PACER's programs help parents become informed and effective representatives for their children in early childhood, school-age and vocational settings.

Institute on Community Integration
ICI believe that persons with developmental disabilities should live as valued members of our communities, receiving the services and supports they need to fully develop their potential. Based on this belief, it conducts research and training, and shares information intended to prevent and reduce the limiting effects of disabilities.
